Overview Our Director Global Supply Chain (MTS) is an integral operations partner providing leadership on standard processes to improve customer fulfillment, total cost of Primary Working Capital, ERP technology and operating costs. This role is responsible for driving business solutions and practices utilizing GENERAC’s Operating Model to develop a demand driven pull based replenishment Supply Chain in an MTS environment. The Director Global Supply Chain MTS will organize and implement strategic initiatives and standardized approaches in Material Flow, Tactical Purchasing, and Production Scheduling including SIOP utilizing a Global ERP system (SAP). The position will drive product segmentation using ABCXYZ classifications to reduce lead times and improve productivity.

Lead and improve Inventory Management best practices utilizing PFEP, ABCXYZ Analysis, Purchasing Methods (SMI, Pull, Reorder Point, Visual Management), Warehouse Management (Cycle Count Accuracy, Transactions, Bar Coding, RFID), Lean Material Flow (Direct Pull, Supermarkets, Tuggers, Kanban and point of use delivery) and production scheduling (level scheduling, optimizers, WIP markets, Heijunka). Define and deploy GENERAC’s disciplined operating model in supply chain that supports operational excellence and both short-term and long-range plans. Improve Tactical Purchasing in conjunction with GENERAC’s Strategic Global Sourcing team to reduce lead times and improve material margins through the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model. Lead processes to ensure continuity of supply throughout the operations to achieve uninterrupted supply of quality components and assemblies. Collaborate with corporate Global Supply Chain on strategic design and initiatives. Implement Lean supplier replenishment and pull-based material flow within facilities. Implement standard supply chain processes across all facilities. Eliminate waste within the Supply Chain process. Organize and prioritize work assignments to complete tasks on time with quality; anticipate problem areas in advance and apply problem-solving approaches. Work with Demand Planning/Management using a One Number Plan approach to align financial, operational and material plans (SIOP), executing direct pull when possible and forecasting lead times when not. Ensure Supply Chain is synchronized with Production Execution capabilities to maximize efficiencies and minimize cost within a Make To Stock distribution model. Reduce lead times for external supply while improving internal material flow. Continuously assess and build strong teams in Supply Chain across all MTS SC facilities. Define resource needs and operate within budget and staffing parameters to accomplish objectives for the area of responsibility. Develop and challenge resources to improve performance through systems utilization and process improvements. Develop teams from a push-based system to a pull-based replenishment system. Collaborate with site Director of OPS on strategy and team development. Provide and facilitate communication among team members and between teams and other areas; resolve differences and conflicts effectively. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (preferably Engineering, Business or Industrial). 10 years progressive Supply Chain leadership experience. 5 years leading in a multi-site lean manufacturing environment utilizing Make To Stock fulfillment models. Strong Lean background in pull-based supplier replenishment, Production scheduling and materials management.
