Overview
Cobalt Service Partners is seeking a task-driven individual, with an excellent technical aptitude and communication skills to join one of our teams in the greater Milwaukee area. We are hiring for a highly skilled Security System Programmer. This role involves programming, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting access control software, with a primary focus on Software House solutions, specifically CCURE9000. Responsibilities Program, develop, commission, configure, and test software for across access control, video, intercom, and intrusion/alarm systems and ensure it meets end-user requirements Respond to routine and complex service calls and scheduled maintenance calls using solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment and/or software Test, inspect, and/or perform preventative maintenance on security systems to ensure systems are working properly Take initiative to seek improvement solutions for systems or equipment and take action to optimize system performance Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customer and company to allow for clean invoicing and job cost tracking Provide technical support and training to end users and field colleagues; work with technical staff and management to maintain security systems and the operationality of security systems Proactively seek technical guidance from vendors and/or more experienced staff for difficult and unusual situations Stay current and informed on industry products, services, and policies Participate in the on-call rotation for service needs after hours and weekends Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma (technical degree preferred) Licenses & Certifications: CCURE9000 certification (preferred), Genetec certification (preferred), any other access control, video, and alarm software certifications a plus Strong working knowledge of integrated electronic security systems technology and operations 2+ years of experience programming security solutions is required 5+ years of experience in programming and/or software development Microsoft SQL Server experience (preferred) Ability to configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems Ability to install and load system operating software 5+ years of network security and vulnerability management (preferred) Security industry certifications (e.g., CISSP International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium; PSP (ASIS)) and program/project management certifications (preferred) Unrestricted and valid drivers license with a clean driving record Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen Experience interfacing with vendors, customers, and other subject matter experts over matters of system upgrades, bugs, and features Experience organizing and communicating metrics, milestones, and key team information to Toepfer management team Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits
Competitive Base Salary of $80,000 - $85,000 per year, plus up to a $7,000 bonus potential.
