Responsibilities The client is seeking to hire an experienced Oracle PL/SQL/Apex developer to continue to support Syndromic Surveillance (SS), a module built within the Client Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveillance System. It is a home-grown system currently going through a modernization effort and moving away from PL/SQL toward Oracle Apex. The developer will be expected to work with the soon-to-retire legacy developer of the SS module to fully understand the mechanics, take ownership of the module, continue to support the staff who use it, and redesign the functionality within the Apex Framework.
Qualifications
System experience in developing applications Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering, business administration or related field from an accredited college 5+ years Oracle PL/SQL programming skills 5+ years developing web application front ends involving hand coding HTML, JavaScript, and JavaScript-based frameworks 5+ years full project lifecycle experience in implementing web-based systems Proficient in troubleshooting, self-motivated and driven, able to work with minimal supervision, and able to exercise good judgment Experience with Oracle RDBMS
