Overview
Location: Atlanta, GA (local to Metro Atlanta). Part-time hours: schedule TBD once candidate is selected. This role is for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL/Apex developer to support Syndromic Surveillance (SS), a module within the Client Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveillance System (SendSS). SendSS is undergoing modernization and moving away from PL/SQL to Oracle Apex. The developer will work with the soon-to-retire legacy SS module developer to understand the system, take ownership, and redesign functionality within the Apex framework. Responsibilities
Continue to support the Syndromic Surveillance (SS) module. Collaborate with the legacy developer to understand mechanics and ensure smooth transition to Oracle Apex. Redesign functionality within the Oracle Apex framework. Provide ongoing support to staff who use the SS module. Qualifications
System experience in developing applications (Required: 3 Years) Completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering, business administration or related field from an accredited college (Required) 5+ years Oracle PL/SQL programming experience (Required) 5+ years developing web application front ends involving hand coding HTML, JavaScript, and JavaScript-based frameworks (Required) 5+ years full project lifecycle experience in implementing web-based systems (Required) Proficient in troubleshooting, self-motivated and driven professional, able to work with minimal supervision, and able to exercise good judgment (Required) 5+ years' work experience with Oracle RDBMS (Required) Job details
