Overview
Seeking to hire an experienced Oracle PL/SQL/Apex developer to support Syndromic Surveillance (SS), a module built within the Georgia State Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveillance System (SendSS). SendSS is undergoing modernization and moving away from PL/SQL to redevelop using Oracle Apex. The developer will collaborate with the retiring legacy SS module developer to fully understand the module, take ownership, support staff, and redesign functionality within the Apex Framework. Responsibilities
Work with the legacy SS module developer to understand current mechanics. Take ownership of the SS module and provide ongoing support to users and staff. Redesign functionality within the Oracle Apex Framework as part of the modernization effort. Qualifications
System experience in developing applications. Required: 3 years. Completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering, business administration, or related field from an accredited college. Required. 5+ years Oracle PL/SQL programming experience. Required. 5+ years full project lifecycle experience in implementing web-based systems. Required. Proficient in troubleshooting, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and able to exercise good judgment. Required. 5+ years work experience with Oracle RDBMS. Required. Details
