Contracts Manager
HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team and work onsite in Springfield, VA. This role will support the contract administration and business growth of the Warfare Systems (WS) Business Group. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver with demonstrated expertise in contracts management and cost proposal development. This position reports directly to the WS Contracts Director, and will support all aspects of contract administration for the Business Group. What You Will Do: Serve as a contractual business advisor and subject matter expert to line management (Business Group President, Operations Managers, Program Managers) and functional management (Procurement, Pricing, Finance/Accounting, Costpoint Team, Business Operations, and Project Control) regarding contractual and proposal issues. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, including but not limited to reporting requirements. Ensure that contracts, proposals, and work products comply with HII and HI MTC policies and Contracts Department processes, and are of high quality. Ensure contract files include appropriate documentation to support such compliance. Negotiate the terms of contract documents, including but not limited to Contracts, Cost Proposals, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements. Support proposal development by analyzing requests for proposal (RFPs) to determine the contractual requirements needed to deliver a compliant, responsive, and winning proposal. Follow corporate policy and procedures to obtain proper approvals. Become a skilled user of Unison Contract Lifecycle Management software, recording cradle-to-grave contract information. Effectively communicate within the team, the company, and with customers. Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For: 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience. Active Top Secret Clearance. Preferred Requirements: Past experience managing contracts, subcontracts, and/or pricing professionals is strongly preferred. Experience with the intelligence community preferred. 10+ years of government contract experience preferred. Strong working knowledge of the FAR/DFARS. Experience supporting large proposal efforts, including management of cost narratives. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
