Baptist Health - Central Alabama The Senior Unified Communications Engineer shall be responsible for providing support for various aspects of telephony, including interfacing with users and partners on the provisioning and support of telephony equipment and connected technologies. This individual is responsible for providing services pertaining to installing, configuring, deploying, supporting, monitoring, and maintaining various systems, processes, and technologies across the Baptist Health environment. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience : High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education preferred. Minimum four years with relevant experience required. License / Certification : None Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities : Must possess advanced knowledge of Voice over IP fundamentals, Information Technology, and Networking fundamentals, with a focus in Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Contact Center, WebEx, and related systems. Must possess experience with 3rd-party-integrations related to PBX (attendant console), IVR, call recording, and reporting platforms. Keen attention to detail and focus on accuracy of information while maintaining confidentiality. Effective problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills. Effective time management skills necessary to meet project, task, and meeting commitments. Strong verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with management, and co-workers, end-users, vendors, and partners. Ability to resolve complex problems in a timely manner. Ability to research, analyze, and implement software and hardware changes. Ability to work well remotely and onsite as an individual or as part of the team. Ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely. Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external). Ability to take ownership of key task and duties with minimal supervision. Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize based on need. Ability to provide off-hours operation support when necessary. Ability to work varied hours and locations based on the Baptist Health needs, which can include nights and/or weekends. Work Conditions/Physical Requirements : Position requires sitting for 80% of the workday and mobility 20% of the workday. There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation. Primary Location:
