Responsibilities

  • Answer the phone in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations and Lifeline calls; take appropriate actions as required by the call.
  • Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Education / Experience

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods; continuously alert to discern caller’s needs.
  • Clear diction with a high level of hearing and visual acuity.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Continuous sitting at the PBX console and talking when answering phones.
  • Frequent reaching, hand use, and repetitive action; clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation.
  • Continuous visual acuity; inside environment with minimal noise; extensive computer work.
  • Occasional exposure to electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
