Responsibilities
- Answer the phone in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations and Lifeline calls; take appropriate actions as required by the call.
- Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.
Education / Experience
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods; continuously alert to discern caller’s needs.
- Clear diction with a high level of hearing and visual acuity.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Continuous sitting at the PBX console and talking when answering phones.
- Frequent reaching, hand use, and repetitive action; clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation.
- Continuous visual acuity; inside environment with minimal noise; extensive computer work.
- Occasional exposure to electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
