Software Engineer III
As a Software Engineer III, you will be responsible for driving the Sam's Club Membership team from a technical delivery perspective. You will be part of a high-performing technical team, working on designing solutions and collaborating with members across platform teams to develop and maintain robust and scalable solutions that ensure high performance, reliability, and adaptability to meet the evolving business needs of the Sam's Club Membership team. - Develop, test, deploy and maintain scalable software applications using various programming languages, frameworks and technologies. - Collaborate with a small team of engineers on software development and design, identifying both short-term and long-term solutions. - Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and understand software requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs. - Leverage automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment processes. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards. - Work with the team to continuously improve software development methodologies and practices. - Monitor application performance and provide ongoing support and maintenance, including bug fixes, feature enhancements and system upgrades. - Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices while continuously learning and adopting new tools, libraries, and frameworks to enhance software development processes. What you'll bring: - A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer science, with a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in software engineering or a related field. Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. - Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot and microservice architecture, including experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with cloud application development including scalable, data driven, and message-oriented architecture. - Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL Databases (e.g., Cosmos) Expertise in version control tools and agile development methodologies. - Ability to debug complex issues, analyze logs in production environments, quickly understand and build upon existing codebase. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
