Position Overview

As a Staff Mammographer, operate all breast imaging equipment located in the Breast Center to perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams according to physician orders. Ensure excellence in customer service throughout the daily schedule and foster a positive work environment for patients, colleagues, and referring physicians. Ensure compliance with all terms and conditions of the Mammography Quality Standards Act. Location

Under general supervision and in consultation with the Radiologist, perform routine and challenging mammography procedures. Follow defined procedures, protocols, and equipment usage to support clinical diagnosis. Verify proper visualization of breast anatomy for radiologic interpretation. Operate stationary and portable radiographic equipment to perform procedures. Load cassettes and process images for final analysis; ensure equipment runs at optimum performance. Document quality assurance and perform quality control checks on images. Determine appropriate technical factors (voltage, current, exposure time, focal distance) based on patient factors and suspected pathology. Instruct student technologists and new staff in radiographic anatomy and positioning; review training images. Ensure patient privacy, safety, and comfort; assist patient onto/off examination table; explain procedures. Work cooperatively within and across units and departments. Qualifications

ARRT certified in Mammography with current registration BLS/CPR certification Minimum of 3-6 months experience performing mammography procedures Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
