Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm Pay Range
$37 - $44 per hour Responsibilities
Under general supervision and in consultation with the Radiologist, perform mammographic procedures of routine and difficult nature. Participate in scheduling procedures for the Breast Imaging Center. Perform Diagnostic Mammography Procedures. Verify that proper anatomical structures of the breast are demonstrated for radiologic interpretation. Operate stationary and portable radiographic equipment to perform the procedures. Load cassettes and process images for final analysis. Explain the procedure to the patient and assist the patient on and off the examination table. Ensure patient privacy, safety, and comfort. Determine proper technical factors (voltage, current, exposure time, focal distance) based on patient size, physical condition, and suspected pathology. Qualifications
Requires completion of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (typically two-year college or technical school program). ARRT Mammography certification with current registration. Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required. CPR BLS certification required. Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of breast anatomy and proficiency in performing radiology examinations of the breast, as acquired in one to two years of related experience.
