Quantic ECI designs, develops and manufactures state-of-the-art custom electromagnetic components for mission-critical power applications. Focused on the aerospace and defense markets along with customer base extending into a wide array of markets. Position Summary
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement activities within the Quality department at Quantic ECI. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role ensures that products and processes meet internal and external quality standards, including applicable industry regulations and customer expectations. The Sr. Quality Engineer will serve as a key liaison between manufacturing, engineering, and customers on quality-related issues and lead root cause investigations, CAPA activities, and audits. Onsite: Westfield, MA Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures, and implement best practices. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Conduct internal and supplier audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards. Support PPAP, FAI, and validation efforts for new and existing products. Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing on process improvement and quality planning. Analyze quality performance data and report metrics to leadership. Interface with customers on quality concerns, audits, and compliance issues. Ensure calibration and maintenance of quality measurement equipment. Lead Continuous Improvement activities related to Quality Management System, including implementation of new software. Train employees and new hires on QMS policies and standards. Required Skills and Abilities
Knowledge Of: ISO 9001, AS9100 standards, and industry-specific regulations Root cause analysis methodologies Statistical process control and quality metrics GD&T, PPAP, FMEA, and APQP methodologies Quality management systems (QMS) and audit processes Ability to: Lead investigations and drive effective CAPA Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers Interpret technical drawings and specifications Use quality tools and software Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in aerospace or high-reliability electronics manufacturing Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer audits Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer Ability to move through manufacturing and lab environments Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Visual acuity to inspect small parts and read detailed documentation Quantic is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
