We’re partnering with a larger, international manufacturing company on a newly created opportunity for a Senior Accountant to support a major accounting transition. This role sits within a dynamic finance organization focused on accounting change, process improvement, and cross-functional transformation. Compensation range: $90K–$110K + 5% bonus

Work arrangements: Hybrid schedule in Chicago, 2 days onsite (moving to 3 this fall)

Responsibilities:

• Interpret workpapers, track deliverables, manage communications, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage timelines, track milestones, and support organizational change tied to new accounting standards.
• Develop training materials, facilitate knowledge sharing, and help business units adapt to change.
• Align accounting project goals with broader company strategy by partnering with finance, IT, and other teams.
• Promote consistent documentation and leverage systems to improve financial reporting accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Background in public accounting (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred
• Strong project management, documentation, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, working independently, and managing multiple priorities
• Curiosity for problem solving and driving continuous improvement
