Full-Time/Regular The position can reside in either the Washington, DC and Dallas office with hybrid work capabilities and will be responsible for providing system administration, support, system maintenance, and operation of the firms Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Windows 365 (W365) environments. Additionally, will perform Tier 3-level incident and problem support of endpoints and provide necessary recommendations on potential image/system enhancements, speed, and security. This role will serve as a technical escalation point, ensure system stability, and provide expert-level troubleshooting and operational support. Responsibilities

Manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments for multi-user access. Configure and maintain Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) for streamlined image management. Perform regular updates and patches for Citrix components. Prepare third-party updates and patches for release to all endpoints including Windows workstations and servers. Administer Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including session hosts, FSLogix, and Azure resource configuration. Monitor and resolve incidents escalated to Endpoint Engineering team such as user sessions, applications, and VDI performance. Maintain and manage Citrix published applications and desktops. Perform daily health checks on Citrix server farms and ensure smooth operation. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Citrix applications. Administer users and groups in Active Directory and Entra ID. Train employees in the use of Citrix applications and provide user support. Monitor system performance using tools like Citrix Director. Implement and communicate system changes as needed. Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for Citrix-related processes. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure integration with supporting systems. Serve as the primary escalation point for Tier-1 and Tier-2 teams on complex issues across all Endpoint Engineering to include third-party applications, Windows, Citrix, AVD, and Windows 365. Work closely with vendors (Citrix, Microsoft, etc.) to resolve advanced technical challenges. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles. Provide periodic reports on system performance, incident trends, and resolution times. Participate in a rotational on-call and scheduled maintenance roster to ensure continuous system availability and timely resolution of critical issues. Qualifications

Bachelors degree preferred; college coursework in computer science or management information systems. An equivalent combination of experience and training might be considered. Industry certifications preferred CCA-V, MC-AVD, VMware, Nutanix but not required. Minimum 2+ years of experience in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Administration. Familiarity with IT service management tools (ServiceNow). Strong knowledge of Citrix technologies, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD). Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS), Windows 365 (W365). Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Active Directory / Entra ID. Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and Acropolis. Understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving Citrix-related issues. Experience with FSLogix. Familiarity with IT service management tools (ServiceNow). Experience with Citrix MCS and PVS deployments. Expertise in Citrix policies and profile management. Experience with Microsoft Defender. Understanding of storage and connectivity fundamentals. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and information extraction. Experience with an Active Directory environment including Windows Group Policy Objects and Group Policy Preferences (GPO/GPP). Proficient in scripting and automation: VB Script, PowerShell or Python scripting. Ability to pay close attention to detail, occasionally for prolonged periods of time and under restrictive deadlines, and complete work assignments logically and accurately. Ability to prepare systems and configuration documentation. Experience supporting Windows Server. Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft Azure. Broad knowledge of network and server systems with the ability to understand complex environments to perform root cause analysis. Knowledge in system patching and malware protection products. High level of written communication and documentation skills. Ability to prioritize and work independently. Strong attention to detail. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to fully utilize tools to compile and analyze data. Results-driven professional who can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
