This role will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, including staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits. This position is located at our largest manufacturing complex in Corbin, KY. Due to the industry nature, this will be a primarily on-site role.
Objectives of this role
- Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.
- Participate in developing HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and reports for company needs.
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
- Suggest new procedures and policies to improve employee experience and HR department efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations, updating policies when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for onboarding, coordinating with departments for a smooth first-day experience.
- Handle administrative tasks for onboarding, orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry and audits in HRIS.
- Provide HR advisory services covering absence, health issues, conduct, grievances, and organizational change.
- Backup payroll processing, including updates, benefits, and incentives.
- Maintain and update employee handbook, directory, and organizational chart, contributing to policy development.

- Advanced HRIS knowledge and ability to learn new systems.

- Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.

- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
