Travel Nurse Job Details Assignment Type: Travel nursing (locum tenens) Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit with Level 1 obstetrical service line and Level 2 NICU Location: Olive Branch, MS 38654 - Greater Memphis area Start Date: September 22, 2025 End Date: December 22, 2025 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Nursing Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910 Patient Ratios: 4:1 Unit Details: 6 LDRs, 6 postpartum beds, 1 antepartum bed, 1 triage bed, 2 c-section suites Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, OB Techs Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience with prior travel nursing assignment, or 3 years of L&D experience without travel Active Registered Nurse license in Mississippi or compact state (must be in hand at time of submission) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Intermediate Essential skills: Circulate, Fetal Heart Monitoring, Triage, IV Start Must reside at least 100 miles from facility Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Ability to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating and triage duties Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs Initiate IVs and administer medications as ordered Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles as needed Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this Olive Branch, Mississippi Labor & Delivery RN job!
