Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 - $1,830 Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 15, 2025 - December 15, 2025) Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (10 beds) Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Float Requirement: May float to Postpartum/Couplet Care and feeder/grower assignments in Level II NICU Scrubs Provided Flu Vaccine Required (no exemptions) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (required for Maryland nursing jobs) Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Charge nurse and preceptor experience required BLS and NRP certifications required Intermediate AWHONN certification required Must hold or obtain C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) within 2 weeks of assignment start First-time travel nurses accepted Two supervisor references required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Preferred: ACLS, STABLE, C-EFM through NCC, community hospital and Trauma Level I experience Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive care to laboring patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries Perform triage, sterile vaginal exams, and newborn assessments Support breastfeeding, lactation, and provide education to new mothers Administer medications and manage IVs, epidurals, and magnesium sulfate therapy Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using EFM/IUPC Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, pharmacy, and social services Float to postpartum/couplet care and Level II NICU as needed Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital safety and infection control standards Apply now to join our healthcare team and start your travel nursing career in Brooklyn, Maryland!
