About the Role As a Floating Community Assistant Manager at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting operational excellence and enhancing resident satisfaction across multiple residential communities. This position requires adaptability, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive mindset, offering the opportunity to directly contribute to leasing performance, team support, and community engagement.
You will collaborate with onsite teams, residents, and the corporate office to ensure consistent service delivery and uphold company standards. This is a field-based, floating role requiring travel between properties located within our portfolio.

What You'll Do •Provides operational support at assigned communities on a rotating or as-needed basis •Assists with leasing activities, resident relations, and day-to-day administrative functions •Ensures timely rent collection and supports effective maintenance coordination •Fills in during team absences, peak leasing seasons, or for special projects •Supports the onboarding and mentoring of junior staff and leasing professionals •Communicates with residents, vendors, and corporate staff to ensure smooth operations •Conducts property audits to ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company standards •Assists with financial reporting, budgeting, and rent collection tasks •Supports marketing efforts including social media, outreach, and resident events •Resolves resident concerns and escalates issues when necessary •Monitors leasing performance and assists in implementing strategies to improve occupancy •Performs move-in/move-out inspections and ensures accurate documentation •Assists in software rollouts and company process updates
Who You Are •3+ years of experience in property management, preferably in multifamily or lease-up environments •High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred •Proficient in Yardi and standard office software •Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills •Team-oriented with the ability to adapt quickly to new teams and settings •Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between properties
