Contracts/Grants Reviewer

This position is located in the Office of the Undersecretary - Fiscal Services - Grants. This position is responsible for the tracking and reporting of active grants and related contracts in the Department. It is 100% grants administration duties. This is one of three positions dedicated to the grants program for the Department. The grants program is a complex program consisting of over twenty (20) grant projects from federal, state and private sources totaling over $14 million. An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies: communicating effectively, following policies and procedures, making accurate judgments, managing budgets, solving problems, and using data. Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in contracts or grants management, procurement, financial management, or accounting; OR six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR a bachelor's degree. Experience substitution is available. Job Duties: Reviews, recommends, approves, and maintains the ACCESS database records and electronic grants purchase log for tracking requests for purchase using knowledge of accounting general ledger codes and funding sources as well as approved grant budget categories. Audit and post travel expenses in accordance with current state travel regulations ensuring travel authorizations, required receipts, and travel details have been properly documented for allowable reimbursement of traveler's expenses and claimed on the proper grant. Perform monthly reconciliation of obligations and grant expenditures among ACCESS database, electronic grant spreadsheets and DOC's general ledger accounts for each open grant. Career Progression Group: Contract/Grants Reviewer 1, 2, 3, or 4. Filled at the highest level of experience of the selected applicant. Salary depends on level of experience. Any degree, certificate, special license, or DD-214 must be verified by official documentation prior to hire.
