SUMMARY The Vice President, Market Sector Leader for Power & Data Centers is a strategic executive responsible for leading company growth, client engagement, and operational excellence within the sector. This individual will develop and implement sector strategies, build executive-level relationships, and lead cross-functional teams to capture major opportunities aligned with industry trends in digital infrastructure, renewable energy integration, and mission-critical facilities. This individual will help the Company achieve strategic growth goals, establish and maintain positive client relationships, develop and maintain competitor knowledge, lead proposal and interview preparations, and be able to close pursuits. The ability to understand, quickly react and motivate others to adapt to the changing market environment is a critical key to success. In general, the core of this position requires a motivated professional capable of formulating, articulating and achieving well developed business strategies and pursuits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS •Understand and identify business opportunities within the market sector consistent with the overall Company business strategy •Lead and manage team efforts to position and target strategic pursuits •Research, identify, and understand competitor strengths and weaknesses to inform winning strategies based on relevant market intelligence •Develop and implement winning strategies that deliver client value based on thorough understanding of client needs, decision processes, drivers, and key decision makers •Lead RFI and proposal development and presentations with Marketing, Operations, and proposal partners based on defined win strategies •Lead and coach presentation and interview teams •Identify and actively participate in industry and client targeted networking opportunities •Identify, pursue and meet with potential clients to identify, understand, and evaluate business opportunities •Act as the Client Advocate and Manager facilitating effective engagement and communication between clients and operations experts •Participate in legal and contract reviews, actively work to determine potential conflicts of interest, and provide intelligence to support pricing strategies •Assist Senior Leadership with identifying strategic hires needed to support market sector opportunities •Support the development of junior talent •Work closely with Human Resources to identify top talent, key hire needs, and opportunities •Collect and maintain client information in the CRM database
QUALIFICATIONS
•B.A. or B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, Energy Systems, or related field
•15+ years of relevant work experience in Business Development, with at least 7 years in a leadership role
•Experience with CRM or similar software required
•Demonstrated history of success in developing and implementing strategic plans resulting in increased company revenues and market share
