Dry System Mechanical Engineer

Micron Technology, a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions, is seeking an experienced Dry System Mechanical Engineer to oversee the third-party design of Dry mechanical systems for semiconductor manufacturing projects. The Dry Mechanical Engineer will manage external design firms, ensuring that systems meet stringent project specifications, performance standards, and regulatory requirements. This role requires deep technical expertise in mechanical systems, strong project management skills, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, code compliant, and high-performance systems. Responsibilities: Oversee third-party design firms in the development of dry mechanical systems. Review and validate third-party design deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards. Conduct technical evaluations of third-party designs, verifying performance metrics. Collaborate with external design teams, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align dry mechanical system designs with facility requirements and project timelines. Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on third-party designs. Ensure third-party designs integrate seamlessly with other facility systems. Oversee the implementation of safety and regulatory protocols for dry mechanical systems. Support commissioning and testing phases by reviewing third-party design performance. Utilize BIM tools and control systems to verify design interoperability and ensure operational efficiency. Provide technical guidance to third-party designers. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dry mechanical engineering. Strong knowledge of Dry mechanical system design. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations. Proficiency in reviewing engineering deliverables. Preferred Skills: Experience overseeing third-party designs for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or data center facilities. Knowledge of sustainable design practices. Experience with control systems and BIM workflows. Familiarity with clash detection and design integration processes. Ability to mentor internal teams or liaise effectively with external stakeholders.
