Enterprise Architect

to shape the future of utility technology through grid modernization and advanced systems planning. This is a direct hire opportunity to contribute to a high-impact team driving long-term strategic architecture across a vital industry. Work Mode:

$193,000.00 (rate negotiable based on experience) *W2 candidates only - Sponsorship Not Available* Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Roadmapping Partner with executive and senior leadership to define technology strategies for grid modernization, ADMS, DERMS, and Emergency Preparedness portfolios. Develop business architecture models to align PG&Es True North Strategy with scalable technology roadmaps. Assess IT application environments across operational technology, smart grid, and microgrid to propose future-state architectures. Own the architecture of a portfolio of applications while driving reuse, standardization, and optimization. Lead vendor assessments, support RFPs, and rationalize the application portfolio. Coordinate roadmaps across enterprise groups to manage dependencies and ensure integration with enterprise standards. Deliver reusable architecture patterns, frameworks, and decision models. Guide and mentor implementation teams throughout delivery cycles. Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI, edge computing, and advanced operations technology.

Qualifications BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience. Experience in utilities or utility-related technology environments.

Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business. Expertise in Grid Modernization, ADMS, DERMS, and Asset/Work Management. Experience with solution architecture and large-scale project implementations. Strong business and data architecture skills, including capability mapping and process reengineering. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
