The Opportunity:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing all day-to-day operations. This role is accountable for executing the company's strategic vision, driving operational performance, and delivering sustainable growth. The COO will be instrumental in building a scalable operating platform through process improvements, talent development, and the integration of acquired businesses.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of scaling multi-location field service operations, leading M&A integration efforts, and launching new market locations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited for a decisive, metrics-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all field operations, dispatch, warehouse, call center, and support functions Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing leaders and managers across service lines Drive operational consistency, process improvements, and performance benchmarks across locations Oversee execution of growth strategies, including M&A integration and greenfield market launches Monitor KPIs, dashboards, and financial performance to ensure business objectives are met Partner with the CEO and executive team to translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans Ensure exceptional customer service through quality control, responsiveness, and communication Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation in collaboration with the CFO Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Implement technology and systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy Qualifications:
10+ years of senior operational leadership experience, ideally in home services, field service, construction, or related industries Management consulting background (strategy, operations, M&A, or performance improvement) strongly preferred Significant multi-location P&L management experience Proven success in M&A execution and post-acquisition integration Experience launching and scaling new markets or service lines Strong understanding of workforce management, dispatch, scheduling, and supply chain processes Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills Proficiency with CRM, ERP, and operational management systems Track record of driving measurable results in growth-oriented environments Compensation & Benefits:
