Loss Prevention Associate

UCLA The Loss Prevention Associate is responsible for the safety and security of guests, team members, and property at the Inn at UCLA and Luskin Conference Center. The incumbent acts as a liaison with the University of California, Los Angeles Police Department, Fire Department, and other emergency departments. Routine tasks include perimeter checks and daily shift reports, and incident reports are completed as necessary. Department Summary The Luskin Conference Center (LCC) is a 300,000-square-foot, 7-story property on the UCLA campus. The LCC includes 254 guest rooms, approximately 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a 160-seat restaurant, a fitness center, and a business center. The LCC supports UCLA's education and research mission and is a no-tipping environment. Salary & Benefits

1+ years experience in security, loss prevention, or related field (Required) Working knowledge of security and safety procedures (Required) Ability to comply with safety standards and procedures for personal and public safety (Required) Demonstrated ability to address emergency situations (Required) Ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner (Required) Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English to receive work assignments and share information with supervisors and colleagues (Required) Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team (Required) Ability to work efficiently under fluctuating workload with frequent interruptions (Required) Ability to remain calm in the face of adversity, such as guest dissatisfaction (Required) Skill in writing grammatically correct business English for memos and routine correspondence (Required) Proficiency in general office, productivity, and computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (Required) Skill in reading and understanding technical manuals and troubleshooting guides for surveillance equipment (Preferred) Working knowledge of surveillance and access control systems (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background investigation.
