The Human Resources Assistant will support daily HR operations, including hiring, employee records, benefits administration, workers' compensation, and compliance. This role requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
We're looking for someone who:
Has 3+ years of experience in a human resources role with multiple responsibilities Is bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak fluently) Understands employment compliance laws and HR best practices Is familiar with benefits, workers' compensation, employee relations, recruiting, and onboarding Demonstrates strong decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills Is detail-oriented, organized, punctual, and reliable Can manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records while meeting deadlines Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and has experience with HRIS systems What you'll do:
Administer employee files, HR records, and compliance documentation Oversee workers' compensation claims and communicate restrictions with managers and employees Manage group benefits, including enrollments, cancellations, and eligibility tracking Organize and support open enrollment meetings across multiple locations Assist managers with hiring, staffing, and personnel needs Conduct new employee orientation and training Prepare HR-related reports and perform accurate data entry Complete employment verifications and maintain confidentiality Support scheduling and additional HR tasks as assigned
