This position reports to the Tulane Medical Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and manages all day-to-day operations for the CEO, including administrative and clerical duties in support of the office. Responsible for ensuring access and communication between the CEO and the campus community. Represents the CEO on campus and with external constituencies. Works with the CEO and appropriate staff as needed as a project manager. Able to work independently during extended travel or CEO absences. Supervises the Administrative Assistant on a day-to-day basis, including delegating assignments. Performs other special projects as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to respond diplomatically, professionally, and courteously with individuals at all levels within the organization Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed Highly proficient computer skills; ability to use various standardized word processing and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Ability to work independently in the accomplishment of assigned tasks; ability to organize and prioritize Prioritize work effectively; and the ability to meet established deadlines Tactful and professional interpersonal relationships with others; excellent supervisory skills Excellent organization and communication required to perform extensive scheduling assignments Ability to independently establish priorities and coordinate special projects for the CEO

Required Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent Five (5) years' directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five or more years' directly related experience Experience working in a university or higher education environment Project management experience desirable
