Direct Counsel is seeking a

Transactional Tax Associate (Funds)

to join a prestigious

Am Law 100 firm

in

New York . This role offers a unique opportunity for a

secondment to the firm's London office

(specific timing and duration to be determined) to work with a

U.S. partner based in London , with additional opportunities for

periodic travel .

The ideal candidate will have

3 to 5 years of experience

focusing on

fund formation and asset management , including work with

private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and private equity funds . Experience with

fund structuring, asset manager compensation, and related tax issues involving asset management

is required. Key Responsibilities Advise on

fund structuring, formation, and asset management tax issues . Work with clients on

private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and private equity funds . Counsel asset managers on

compensation structures and tax-efficient strategies . Collaborate with the London office on

cross-border tax matters . Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD)

from an accredited law school (Class of

2019 to 2021 ). Strong academic credentials

and relevant

law firm tax experience . Experience in

fund structuring, tax compliance, and asset management taxation . Ability to work effectively in a

collaborative, international environment . Compensation & Benefits Salary range:

$260,000 - $390,000 (for JD classes 2019-2021). Actual salary may vary based on experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package , including:
