Key Responsibilities Board Governance and Administration: Manage all Board of Directors meeting logistics (scheduling, materials, RSVPs, attendance, minutes, meeting spaces, catering, and Zoom/AV); assist the CEO and Chief of Staff in drafting meeting agendas and pre-read materials; manage governance information, terms, committee memberships, officer elections, and the Board Directory; oversee onboarding of new Board members and coordinate across leadership and internal teams; partner with the CEO and Development to strengthen Board engagement and involvement; maintain contact lists and visit notes in Google Contacts and Tessitura. Office of the CEO: Manage the CEO's calendar with external stakeholders; draft remarks, acknowledgments, Board communications, and internal messages; perform general office administration (correspondence, meeting notes, expense reports, arranging tickets for guests/VIPs, budget tracking, dining and delivery logistics); provide on-site support at Board and development events; develop knowledge of The Shed's programs for accurate planning and communication. Special Projects: Manage cross-department projects, collect input, and drive toward deadlines; apply creative, proactive problem-solving and executive-level communication to grow the role and add value beyond listed functions.

Qualifications and Qualities

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Proven track record of strong organizational skills, constituent relations, professionalism, and judgment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Precision, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Ability to represent The Shed and the CEO with warmth and professionalism to staff, donors, Board members, artists, and audiences Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion Proficiency with PC platforms, G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with database management is a plus Hybrid work readiness (minimum 34 days on-site per week in The Shed offices; ability to work nights and weekends for select meetings, events, and performances with advance notice) Intellectual curiosity for The Shed's work and a passion for the creative fields

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Application Process
