W2 only. No third-party candidates will be considered. **** Overview This role is centered on supporting a statewide healthcare system modernization effort. The consultant will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that complex healthcare and Medicaid-related requirements are understood, documented, and translated into actionable IT solutions. Key Responsibilities Serve as liaison between business teams and IT, ensuring business needs are clearly defined and met. Conduct business process analysis, identifying opportunities for automation and improvements. Document and translate high-level requirements into functional specifications. Support process redesign and integration across multiple business and IT areas. Lead business design sessions, ensuring solutions align with strategic goals. Provide expertise in healthcare and Medicaid payer systems integration. Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, from end-users to executive leadership. Track and report progress, issues, and key performance indicators. Required Skills 7+ years of experience in commercial healthcare. 6+ years in business analysis, including eliciting and documenting business rules and processes. 3+ years in State Medicaid payer system integration and delivery. Strong knowledge of cross-functional project delivery. Familiarity with MITA principles and healthcare data exchange standards (EDI, file formats, structures). Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to collaborate across diverse teams. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Skills Knowledge of CMS Federal Certification requirements. Project management experience. MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) project or operational experience. Education Bachelor's degree in business, technical, healthcare, or related field (experience may substitute for formal education).
