The Associate Territory Manager will join a dynamic field sales team and support customer training, technical support, and regional marketing initiatives in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore/Northern Virginia territory. Overview

BD is seeking a highly motivated Associate Territory Manager to join our biotechnology and medical devices team. In this role, you will support field sales efforts, coordinate customer training and technical support, and contribute to regional marketing initiatives. Responsibilities

Collaborate with field sales teams to plan, strategize, and execute customer training and technical support for clinical cases, ensuring seamless logistics, timing, and duration. Work closely with sales management to prioritize targeted customers, cases, and training events, aligning efforts with organizational goals. Support the development of regional physician proctors, facilitating formal and informal training activities to enhance knowledge sharing and skill development. Conduct comprehensive training and in-servicing sessions for hospital surgery staff and support personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills. Contribute to the establishment of regional centers of excellence and collaborate with Marketing to execute territory physician training seminars. Provide support for regional marketing events, conventions, and symposia, ensuring successful execution and representation of BD's brand. Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to organizational success. Qualifications

1-2 years of general sales experience, preferably in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, organizational, and planning skills. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maturity in decision-making. Willingness to relocate to fill an open Full Line Territory Manager position. Ability to travel extensively, up to 80%, including overnight travel. Possession and maintenance of a valid state-issued driver's license with 3 years of consecutive driving history, meeting BD's auto safety standards. Ability to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular drug screenings with satisfactory results. Understanding of the needs/analysis approach to sales, product buyer concept, contract administration, and principles of group purchasing. Basic knowledge of anatomy and familiarity with medical and surgical terminology. Ability to discuss various products in relation to the human body. Education
