About the Company
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager for a major OEM to lead the strategic vision, portfolio direction, and investment decisions for the vehicle platform. This role spans base software, core platform services, and body domain applications. You will drive long-term platform strategy, deliver business impact, and represent the platforms technical and market leadership both internally and externally. Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Define and evolve the long-term product vision and portfolio strategy Lead major investment decisions, platform architecture choices, and build vs. buy strategies Coordinate dependencies with other product managers across the Software Organization Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence across the enterprise Ensure flexibility and scalability as core attributes of the platform Continuously research industry developments, market trends, and competitive forces Advise senior leadership on technology trends, partner strategies, and ecosystem development Represent the company in industry forums, panels, and standards bodies Publish white papers, present at conferences, and drive thought leadership in vehicle platforms Mentor and develop senior and junior product managers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Minimum 10 years of relevant technical experience, including 5 years in technical leadership Knowledge and experience with vehicle hardware/software development and product launches Proven cross-functional collaboration with architects, designers, integrators, and business teams Strong relationship-building skills across all organizational levels Excellent listening, technical writing, and communication skills in English Ability to present effectively to both technical and executive audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science in Electrical/Computer/Information Technology or related field 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager for embedded software/hardware products Background in automotive product management, including E/E architecture, software architecture, and electronics Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic & Adaptive), QNX, Linux, and service-oriented architectures Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, SOME/IP protocols Experience with cybersecurity and functional safety concepts (ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434) Knowledge of ADAS and Cockpit systems, as well as IoT, edge, and streaming technologies Software development background with Java, C/C++, Python, or similar languages Experience working in Agile development environments
