POSITION PURPOSE:
As a Commercial Banker, your primary role will be to grow and retain profitable relationships by delivering value-added solutions to clients and prospects, helping them reach their goals and maximizing revenues over the relationship's lifespan.
You will be a fully experienced, qualified relationship manager capable of independent activity, with proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution skills.
Credit process management is a critical component of your job.
Performance will be measured by your effectiveness in marketing activities such as calling, proposal development, revenue generation, risk mitigation, relationship building, and contributing to the franchise's long-term growth.
You will also seek opportunities to cross-sell and anticipate future client needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Develop small-to-middle market relationships with corporations and not-for-profit entities, generally with revenues from $500K to $50 million. Solicit new commercial clients through calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts. Obtain and maintain Centers of Influence (COIs) and attend networking events in the assigned area. Apply skills and experience in loan structuring and credit analysis. Generate a variety of commercial and real estate loans, closing typically in the range of $250,000 to $10 million. Contribute to deposit growth through cross-selling and promoting banking products. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, or related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Credit training and/or underwriting experience. Minimum of five years in direct lending or credit support, focused on business relationships. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Understanding of sales, loan processing, and closing processes. Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including C&I and Commercial Real Estate loans. SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record in business development. Benefits:
