Job Purpose:
To provide technical support to clients, manage IT environments, and optimize customers networking environments to facilitate maximum efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Travel Required:
Yes, and immediately. Expect to make around 3 trips to domestic, major-market locations each month, with each trip lasting 2-3 business days. There is no travel during weekends.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide prompt and courteous help desk assistance to customers on-site and over the phone, demonstrating a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking, Internet basics and its workings (DNS, security, IP routing, HTTP, VPN, email routing, spam, etc.), and VoIP implementation and support. Collaborate with vendors and clients to coordinate projects including development and installation of IT systems. Build and manage relationships with third party vendors including, but not limited to, AllScripts, Sage, Apple, Intuit, ISPs, etc. Develop and maintain documentation of all IT related processes and implementation plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Experience: 1-5 years of experience in the field of information technology or extensive history working for a service-based company. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work in hot/cold conditions, be able to work in lying, sitting, or standing position to include work on a ladder, attic and above ceiling tiles.
