As a legal assistant, you will: Assist with producing discovery and cataloging discovery responses Promptly contact assigned clients with developments on their cases Draft correspondence to clients as needed Submit pleadings and other court documents in Maryland and the District of Columbia Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to prepare for mediations, depositions, or trials Operate within a team environment, actively collaborating with colleagues Qualifications: A Legal Assistant must have a minimum of a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; be friendly, empathetic, and organized; and be proficient with Microsoft Office 360 and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Additionally, you must possess the following skills: Ability to manage time effectively and ensure deadlines and KPIs are met or exceeded Strong organizational and communication skills--both oral and written People Skills/Customer ServiceA Legal Assistant should have excellent people skills with the confidence to approach clients with empathy Proficiency in multitasking and adherence to processes Ability to work in a team with other Legal Assistants, Paralegals, and Attorneys Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly DOE To excel in this position, you should have a mix of empathy, determination to meet goals, skill in nurturing client relationships, and ease in managing large amounts of data. Compensation: $50,000-$65,000 per year
