SMS Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager that specializes in tenant improvement build outs, property expansions, and capital expenditures. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter and have a minimum of 5 years working for or with a General Contractor. The TI Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of projects including but not limited to:
Direct communication with asset management team and/or leasing brokers Coordinating between designers, architects, engineers, etc. Managing contractor selection, contracts, and construction of buildings Coordinating multiple projects at once Directing and overseeing construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and building regulations Project tracking, scheduling, project close-out Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables Negotiate agreement terms, manage construction contract drafts, bid on projects, and obtain permits to analyze and mitigate risks Communicate with the responsible parties to ensure quality construction exceeds company standards and proper industry techniques and processes are utilized Review projects daily to ensure quality construction standards exist and estimates remain within budget Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process Work with internal Operations Team and Superintendents REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of experience with commercial construction. Specifically tenant improvements and remodels. Experience managing tenant improvement projects Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams Experience managing projects remotely Strong organization and communication skills MUST be in the New England area- Relocation Bonus offered Benefits:
