Mission Contribution: To ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and stewardship of the Donated Goods Retail (DGR) to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities. Function: Under the supervision of the Store Manager the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of operating a Donated Goods Retail (DGR). Responsibilities

In cooperation with Store Manager, ensure 100% world-class customer service. In cooperation with Store Manager; hire, train, develop, supervise, and evaluate team members within the framework of Goodwill policies and procedures and job descriptions. In cooperation with Store Manager, develop, train, and supervise Store Team Members to perform duties and responsibilities outlined in the position descriptions on a regular or intermittent basis. In cooperation with Store Manager, operate the DGR within budgeted expense to revenue ratios and donor value. In cooperation with Store Manager, ensure proper handling and processing of donations to maintain good stewardship of all donations in accordance with Goodwill policies and procedures. In cooperation with Store Manager, schedule/maintain labor and payroll in accordance with GSM policies and procedures. In cooperation with Store Manager, be responsible for image, maintenance, loss prevention, safety, and security of the DGR in accordance with GSM policies and procedures. Manage the following areas: Cash Handling; Comment Cards; Monthly Safety Site Inspections; Incident/Accident Reports; Expense Reports; Submission of Supply Orders; Team Meeting Minutes; Weekly scheduling; WESA Reports; MOJO/Work Requests; and other duties as assigned. Maintain compliance with Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facility (CARF) standards with Store Manager and Program Manager. Keep informed of product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing through comparative shopping of competitors. Perform duties within the framework of PRIDE Core Values and participate in in-service and related training. May be asked to participate in activities outside of Goodwill. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of two years of management supervisory experience in a retail setting preferred. Associate’s Degree in business or related field preferred. Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements

Able to bend, reach and stand for extended periods and lift up to forty pounds. May be required to lift heavier items with assistance from another team member. Special Requirements

Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Must have a reliable means of transportation. Assistant Store Managers must open the store at least two times per week and close at least two times per week, totaling at least four days per week. Critical Performance Factors
