We are looking for a Senior Benefits Specialist to join our HR team onsite and play a key role in supporting and enhancing our employee experience. What You Will Do As a Senior Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of a wide range of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, and leave of absence management. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who excels in communication, thrives on resolving complex benefit inquiries, and is committed to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary escalation point for benefits specialists, resolving complex issues related to enrollment, billing, and claims. Assist employees in interpreting medical Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and ensure the accuracy of claims processing. Maintain and update process documentation; lead training initiatives and implement process enhancements. Investigate and resolve benefit inquiries from employees, HR partners, and third-party vendors. Partner with the employee relations team on matters involving FMLA, ADA, and related leave policies. Ensure all benefit programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Perform audits and quality checks on benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Manage life insurance death claims, including communication with beneficiaries, mortuaries, and insurers. Lead new hire benefits orientations and assist employees with self-enrollment in benefit programs. Conduct one-on-one onboarding sessions with physicians and support enrollment in benefit and deferred compensation programs. What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED At least 3 years of experience in human resources or benefits administration Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of experience working specifically with employee benefits SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification Why Choose SRHS?
