About the Role The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the executive leader for physician relations and medical quality improvement. The CMO will work in close cooperation with the Chief of Staff and Chief Executive Officer, and will be a key leader on the Executive and Medical Staff teams. This role involves being the primary physician liaison with the Board of Trustees and the community, as well as developing and maintaining trust-based relationships among the organized Medical Staff leadership, Executive Team, and Board of Trustees. The CMO will also be responsible for fostering a cooperative working environment among hospital and clinic personnel and physicians, and for driving clinical improvements based on modern national trends and data analysis.
The ideal candidate for the CMO position at the company is a skilled physician leader with a strong customer and patient focus, capable of working independently in ambiguous settings to drive recommendations. The CMO must be adept at developing relationships, communicating clearly, and managing multiple stakeholder groups with varying interests and priorities. A background in program development, medical staff affairs, and quality improvement is essential. The successful candidate will be an MD or DO with board certification, and must be eligible for or hold a current state license to practice medicine, with eligibility for medical staff privileges.
