About the Role
The Company is seeking a President/Chief Operating Officer for its Medical Group. The successful candidate will be the executive leader responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of the medical group, with a focus on driving the quality and transformation of ambulatory care delivery. This role requires a champion of clinical excellence, quality, provider engagement, and innovation in care delivery, all while ensuring alignment with the health system's mission, vision, and strategic priorities. The President/COO will also be tasked with fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and will work closely with the health system's executive team on various priorities, including access to care, ACO optimization, provider recruitment and retention, service line development, primary care strategy, and digital process improvement.
The ideal candidate for this position at the company is a skilled leader with a proven track record in a complex healthcare landscape, particularly in the ambulatory setting. Experience in leading efficiency, optimization, physician partnerships, and business success is essential. The role demands a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who can develop strong relationships and lines of communication with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clinicians, employees, payers, patients, and community partners. Knowledge of modern trends and initiatives in the ambulatory setting is also a key requirement, as is the ability to lead teams toward shared goals in a matrixed environment. A background as a Physician (MD/DO) or a Business Executive in Medical Practice Management is preferred.
