Retail Cleaning Associate — The TJX Companies, Inc.

Location: USA TJ Maxx Store 0641 Brandon FL

Starting pay: $13.00 to $13.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care.
• Operate scrubber and buffer; perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
• Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards and the operation of cleaning equipment.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the Sales Floor, Backroom, Restrooms, and Associate areas.
• Adhere to company policies regarding Health and Safety, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Support Front End coverage needs and respond to store recovery as needed.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards; communicate effectively with management and Associates.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness to maintain a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor buffer and scrubber.
• Ability to multi-task and respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; listens and responds appropriately.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.
