Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and job costing.
Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial documentation.
Prepare monthly financial statements and support year-end audit processes.
Partner with project managers to monitor budgets and cost allocations.
Ensure compliance with union reporting and labor cost tracking.
Assist with tax filings and regulatory submissions.
Contribute to process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction industry.
Union accounting experience is required.
Strong grasp of job costing and construction billing practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
