Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our team in the energy sector. The role focuses on intercompany transactions, consolidations, financial statement preparation, and GAAP compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in the oil and gas industry, a solid understanding of NetSuite, and a track record of managing complex financial operations. This is a fast-paced environment with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and entries, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Prepare elimination and consolidating entries as part of the month-end close.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial procedures and maintain integrity of accounting records for completeness and compliance.
• Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
• Work with the finance team to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.
• Contribute to development and review of annual operating budgets and projections.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, with energy sector exposure (oil and gas preferred).
• Solid knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with financial statement preparation, intercompany entries, and consolidation.
• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and drive projects from inception to completion.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
