LTC Accounting is a back office for long term care facilities in Iowa. We provide billing, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, general ledger, cost report, audit, and financial statement preparation support to our clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Accountant located in Urbandale, IA. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Specific duties will include conducting bank reconciliations, preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for record-keeping and maintaining financial documentation, providing financial reports and analysis to support decision-making. This position will also be a back up for the Payroll Administrator.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Experience with general ledger maintenance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• relevant experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
