Role Overview

The Marketing Manager will serve as the central coordinator, analyst, and executor of all cross-department marketing activities. Their strong research, data, and project management background positions them perfectly to bring structure, clarity, and follow-through to our marketing operations. They will manage strategy, oversee digital tools and analytics, and support storytelling through a data-informed lens.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning
    • Own the annual and quarterly marketing plans – draft, revise, and track
    • Lead audience segmentation and market research, incorporating insights from program teams and volunteers
    • Set and monitor key marketing KPIs, campaign goals, and performance metrics across all platforms
    • Serve as the project manager for cross-departmental campaigns, ensuring deadlines are met and communication flows
  • Digital Marketing
    • Manage and update the organization’s website, maintaining fresh content and optimizing user experience
    • Oversee social media platforms in collaboration with the content creator, ensuring consistent messaging and community engagement
    • Lead paid ad campaigns including research, design coordination, placement, tracking, and ROI evaluation
    • Coordinate and send email marketing campaigns such as newsletters, donor appeals, and event invitations
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Track marketing data across digital channels: social, web, and email
    • Produce monthly marketing reports with actionable recommendations
    • Establish systems for campaign testing and continuous optimization
  • Public Relations & Outreach
    • Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, crafting a media list and outreach strategy
    • Write and distribute press releases; coordinate interviews (a few times a year)
  • Event Marketing & Support
    • Partner with supervisors to ensure cohesive event branding and promotion
    • Organize media capture during events (photos/videos/testimonials)
    • Coordinate and promote event coverage with wrap-up summaries and impact content

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on strategy and digital execution
  • Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms (social media management, email marketing software, website CMS, and analytics dashboards)
  • Strong project management skills with experience coordinating cross-departmental campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, track KPIs, and translate insights into action
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is a plus
