The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of nursing experience in a high-risk labor and delivery setting. This role will focus on providing exceptional care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, ensuring the highest standards of maternal and newborn health. Responsibilities: - Provide care for patients in labor, high-risk pregnancies, and triage situations.- Monitor fetal heart rates and high-risk pregnancy conditions.- Assist in vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections.- Float to postpartum as needed, providing couplet care for mother and newborn.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient needs, including respiratory, social services, and pharmacy.- Maintain patient confidentiality, especially in a high-profile environment.- Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient tracking.- Engage in fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy management. Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP, FHM.- Prior charge experience is preferred.- Must have experience in a community hospital setting.- Ability to float between units is necessary.- Valid nursing license in the state of California is required.- Must commit to working every other weekend and three of the five major holidays. Special Skills: - Proficient in assisting with vaginal deliveries and circulating for C-sections.- Capable of performing sterile vaginal exams and managing post-anesthesia care.- Experience in taking an active role in delivery and providing postpartum care is a plus.- Comfort working in an operating room during surgical procedures.
