IT Support Technician Full Time
Outdoor Concepts, Inc. is the premier outdoor power equipment and lawn & garden shop in the area. The ROP Shop, a division of Outdoor Concepts, services the eCommerce world. We are looking for an individual experienced in supporting our users and the IT infrastructure of our retail business and eCommerce division.
The IT Service Technician is responsible for providing on-sight support and maintenance to our associates in Bluffton and Muncie, Indiana. This includes managing tasks, diagnosing, installing, repairing, and upgrading PC hardware, software, and printers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The below list will be your primary duties and responsibilities, but other tasks may be assigned as management and business needs change:
- Administer and support servers, workstations, phones, and network infrastructure.
- Perform system updates, backups, and routine maintenance.
- Manage and monitor backups using Veeam, insuring data integrity and availability.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies as wells as end-user support.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system and network performance issues.
- Manage IT projects including system upgrades and deployments.
- Assist with website projects and back-end administration.
- Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience as a support desk technician or other customer support role.
- Experience with Hyper-V or other virtualization platforms.
- Strong understanding of core network concepts, including VLANS, DNS, DHCP, Subnets, Routing, and Firewalls
- Proficiency with Active Directory (user/group management, GPOs, etc.)
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, licensing, etc.)
- Experience administering and managing backups with Veeam & Windows Server environments.
- Solid troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a variety of different technologies and open to learning modern technologies to stay on top of changing technologies.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associates degree or greater in an Information Technology program or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1-year experience in Information Technology.
