Healthcare Consulting – Patient Access - Manager. Location: Anywhere in Country. EY is building a better working world and shaping your future with confidence. Our Health consulting practice helps clients transform operations in today’s healthcare market, including provider operations and patient access initiatives. Your Key Responsibilities
Spend time teaming with the provider operations team to work with a broad spectrum of not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare clients (hospitals, healthcare systems, physician practices, academic medical centers) to assess and redesign clinical processes. Lead patient access initiatives within provider operations, managing client engagement teams and delivering professional services across a range of clients and strategic/global priority accounts. Collaborate with the provider team to solve complex problems in today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment. Areas of Focus

Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams; foster an innovative, inclusive, team-oriented environment; mentor junior consultants Build client relationships, deliver high-quality work on time and on budget; monitor progress and manage risk Develop and maintain business development opportunities; understand EY service lines and how to serve clients; build long-term client networks Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge To qualify for the role you must have
Bachelor’s degree with approximately 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree with approximately 4 years of related experience Approximately 4 years of healthcare consulting experience, preferably with prior experience as a manager or above Experience with patient access and centralized contact centers Ability to lead patient access initiatives including clinician management, template management/optimization, referral management, and scheduling algorithms; experience with ambulatory template optimization and scheduling Experience centralizing patient access functions, including contact center staffing models and technology for engagement channels Ability to read hospital financial statements and contracts, use complex financial models, and map operational processes; experience with cost reduction planning Experience in healthcare M&A, physician alignment, or financial margin improvement initiatives Experience selling and delivering projects across assessment, design, and implementation Ability to generate revenue within existing clients and develop new prospects at senior levels Ability to manage a team of staff/senior consultants; collaborative in a team environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent oral and written communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) for work products Willingness to travel as needed by the client Ideally you’ll also have
Degree with emphasis in Finance, Accounting, and/or Business; CPA, MBA, MHA, and/or MPH What We Look For
