Position Overview

As an

Inventory Specialist , you will support dealership operations by managing vehicle inventory processes, transportation, quality control, and lot organization. This role works cross-functionally with various departments and ensures vehicles are ready for sale through adherence to MEI Group’s reconditioning and inventory management standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily inventory reconciliation, including verifying window and federal stickers

Conduct vehicle receiving, check-in, cosmetic inspections, and photo documentation (12–20 quality photos)

Move vehicles efficiently through the reconditioning process in accordance with MEI Group’s process and mapping standards

Maintain lot cleanliness, interior/exterior facilities, and vehicle organization using MEI’s 5S standards

Transport vehicles to/from various locations and support reconditioning workflow

Clear out customer belongings from repossessed vehicles per policy

Support the delivery and transport of vehicles and personnel as needed

Perform quality checks and drive cycles

Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain accurate inventory records

Adhere to dealership safety procedures and support a clean, organized working environment

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

General mechanical knowledge (e.g., jump-starting and driving vehicles)

Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately

Effective verbal communication and customer service skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Availability for extended hours, weekends, or holidays as needed (50-hour workweeks possible)

Must wear MEI Group-provided attire during work hours

Background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional Saturdays required)
