Mead & Hunt - Refrigeration Engineer
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. We are seeking a full-time Refrigeration Engineer. Conduct job-site surveys. Calculate refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads. Assist in developing project documentation including drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc. Select and apply system equipment to new and existing systems. Coordinate technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. At least five years of relevant mechanical experience. PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states.
Preferred Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with: Project management Ammonia refrigeration design Chilled water/hydronic design Equipment selection Developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) Microsoft Office software Mentoring less experienced staff
