Lead Data Analyst

As the Lead Data Analyst at Everest Insurance, you'll take the lead in shaping enterprise-wide reporting and analytics initiatives that drive business growth and portfolio performance. With your deep experience in Property & Casualty commercial insurance, you'll bring strategic thinking and technical expertise to a role that sits at the heart of data-driven decision-making. You'll collaborate closely with Underwriting, IT, and business leaders to build scalable data assets, uncover insights, and deliver solutions that help Everest stay ahead in a fast-moving market. Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Underwriting and business teams to design reporting solutions that support growth and risk management Build and maintain ETL pipelines and dashboards using tools like Power BI and SQL Translate business needs into technical requirements and work with IT to implement them Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and documentation of data lineage Promote best practices in data visualization, KPI development, and reporting standards Support data governance and collaborate across teams to improve data quality and usability Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field At least 10 years of experience, including 3+ years in the insurance industry A strong understanding of financial and operational metrics Expertise in Data Warehousing, integration, and reporting tools like Power BI Familiarity with Azure Cloud and Data Lake technologies (Databricks is a plus) Experience with ETL tools such as MS SSIS and Visual Studio Advanced SQL skills and comfort working with structured and unstructured data formats (JSON, XML) A proven ability to analyze complex data and translate it into business impact Strong communication and storytelling skills to present insights to senior stakeholders A collaborative mindset and the ability to build alignment across teams Confidence managing multiple projects while staying focused on strategic goals The base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $208,250 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
